The festival is typically held in the third week of August each year. Moreover, this is done to commemorate the Homowo festival. Therefore, it brings thousands of people from within and outside of Ghana to celebrate the country’s arts and culture.
The street festival started in 2011. Furthermore, it has built a reputation for itself as a cultural hub in West Africa.
This year, the festival received some Ghc300,000 or $ 62,000 from Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism as support.
