September Magazine Covers Celebrate Black Women

Everyone knows that black women rock.
For most international magazines, the September editions are the most-coveted.

Furthermore, for Vogue, Beyonce is the cover star for their September issue. Moreover, her cover is very historic because this is the first time a black photographer has shot the magazine’s cover. The photographer is 23-year old Tyler Mitchell. In the cover story, Beyonce talks about her weight journey, legacy and enduring pre-ecclempsia. Most of the pictures are flower-themed. This is reminiscent of her pregnancy announcement photo.

Also, on the September issue of British Vogue, Rihanna is on the cover. Rihanna has had a phenomenal year with all her business endeavours. These endeavours range from her beauty line, lingerie line and then her fashion collaboration with PUMA. In the cover story, Rihanna talks about dealing with weight gain, her relationships and makeup. Rihanna’s photos are also flowe-concentrated. However, a lot of people were divided over her thin eyebrows she spotted on the cover.

On the September issue for Elle Canada is actress, Tracee Ellis Ross. The actress is proof that it’s never too late for dreams to come true. She scored an Emmy nomination for her role in ABC’s ‘Black-ish’. She talks about her experience directing an episode and her journey to this place.

Lastly, the September issue of Porter Magazine has Lupita N’yongo as the cover. Lupita is an all-round badass. It is no surprise that she is an Oscar award-winning actress. This year has been a great year for her. She starred in one of the biggest movies of 2018, Black Panther.
